Some Translations of Hammurabi Tablets

Hammurabi was the son of king Sin–Muballit. After his father he ruled in Babylon and extended his kingdom northward from Persian Gulf through the Tigris and Euphrates river valleys and westward to the coast of Mediterranean Sea. Hammurabi ruled from 1792 B.C. to 1750 B.C.
The image displays Hammurabi standing before god Shamash and it appears that, Hammurabi is getting informed about the activities he needs to fulfill. Let us look at some of the words Hammurabi used in his speech as he recorded some of his deeds. These words could be related to our language of today.
